On June 25th, a big event happened here in Easthampton MA. The thermometer at Big E's supermarket read 101°F at 6:08 PM on June 25, 2022, marking the FIRST TIME I have ever seen that thermometer read above 99 degrees and confirming its ability to read triple digit temperatures. HOWEVER, it was NOT 101 degrees outside and the heat index and temperature were only in the upper 80s, but any hot person out there at that time would say it did feel like 101 degrees. The actual temp was 89 degrees, but this is still a big milestone for Easthampton MA. And with climate change, maybe we WILL get an actual triple digit day in Easthampton?
