Cottage Street Motors and the old building for Jim's Package Store are no more. Both buildings are currently under demolition with the old Cottage Street Motors (the former Sunoco) at 47 Cottage Street being almost completely demolished, and the old Jim's Package Store building at 49 Cottage Street, being about half demolished as of June 19, 2022; Jim's has since been relocated to a former abandoned building at 2 Adams Street, just across the parking lot from the former two buildings. 47-49 Cottage Street will now be the site of a 3-story residential and retail development, which is likely to complete between June and September 2023.
47 Cottage Street, the former Cottage Street Motors and Sunoco, has now been demolished.
Only half of 49 Cottage Street, the old Jim's Package Store, is still standing as of June 19, 2022.
The inside of 49 Cottage Street now looks like a tornado passed through it. In reality, it was an excavator.
47 Cottage Street, the old Cottage Street Motors, has now been demolished. This is what is left as of June 19, 2022.
The old site of 47 Cottage Street, Cottage Street Motors and Sunoco. Nothing to see here, really.
Even when Cottage Street Motors was operating here after Sunoco shuttered, this sign still remained up.
The back auto garages are all that remain of 47 Cottage Street, the old Cottage Street Motors building.
We Check ID signs are still on the door, and a visible Winston cigarette sign is still seen, in a building that now no longer sells these, or anything.
This is all that remains of 49 Cottage Street, the old Jim's Package Store building, which has now relocated to next door at 2 Adams Street.
