Yet another building goes? (18 Payson Ave)

Now, it appears that another building in Easthampton may be demolished. This 3-story theater, 18 Payson Avenue, which sits on the grounds of the Williston Northampton School (or Williston for short) currently has light fencing around it with a promotional sign that says "Williston Builds", which upon checking their website (campaign.williston.com), appears to be a fundraiser (and a very LARGE one, attempting to raise $70 million, which is over 1.5x the total estimated cost of the One Ferry Project, which has been projected to cost $45 million as of 2021. Nearly $56.4 million has been raised so far, which already exceeds the estimated cost of One Ferry Project by $11.4 million) to further improve the Williston campus. However, I could not find any info on this project on their website or socials, and there are no planned redevelopments for 18 Payson Ave on Easthampton MA's official website in the public planning records from 2020 to 2022. This means I cannot get any info on design, what type of building it will be, construction timelines, or if the building will even be demolished; after all, it could be just a renovation; this means that this is all speculation, and only time will tell what really happens.

Here are some pictures I got of it today:
(Taken June 23, 2022)

As you can see, the building now looks mostly empty inside with most lights off now. And with a fence around the building now, these are big signs that this could be the final days for this building standing. It does look dated, anyways, just like the rest of Easthampton. Time for a change!

However, the fence does NOT go around the whole building. Why?
Also, for the mural on the other side, that, with the building, must go. (It does look nice and modern, though)

Once again, due to no information, this entire post is 100% speculation.

Stay tuned for more information.
